I was born in Missoula, Montana-Go Griz! I spent my childhood between Stevensville (smack dab in the middle of the beautiful Bitterroot Valley) and Great Falls. I attended both Great Falls High School and CMR High School, before I moved to Spokane, Washington in my last two months of high school - that's where I ultimately graduated from. Don't ask me to be a Bison or Rustler, because I am both! I have owned and operated several business in Great Falls and currently, I work in the human services industry. Fun facts about me-- I hunt (bow and rifle). I have a black belt in karate. I love trivia and know strange facts about lots of things. Once upon a time I was a dental assistant, bill collector and a bartender. I have two grown daughters and three grand kiddos. Pfew! That's a lot! Although I have worked in all different fields throughout my life, at the heart of my soul there lies an artist. I have an interest in all kinds of different art mediums- pastels, oils, watercolors, china painting, woodworking, sewing, knitting, scrapbooking--you name it--but my passion lies in photography. I got my first SLR Canon in my late teens and I was hooked. I am entirely self taught. I dived right in and practiced my craft for years not only in making photographs but also in developing film-spending hours upon hours in a darkroom. With the movement in the industry away from film and toward digital, I found myself once again learning. Now, years later I take pride in not only in creating beautiful images, but more recently in the retouching and processing of the images. Times change. Technology changes, but ultimately, for me it's about the creating.
